Join the Nottingham HFRambling Club on a captivating day trip to the enchanting city of York on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of York’s past, from its Viking heritage to its magnificent medieval architecture.
Unveiling York’s Treasures:
- York Minster: Witness the awe-inspiring beauty of this magnificent Gothic cathedral, the largest medieval church in Northern Europe.
- The Shambles: Wander down this iconic, timber-framed street, lined with quaint shops and cafes, and step back in time.
- Clifford’s Tower: Explore this imposing medieval fortress and discover its fascinating history.
- Museums Galore: Choose your own adventure with a plethora of museums to explore. Delve into Viking history at the Jorvik Viking Centre, learn about the evolution of transportation at the National Railway Museum, or take flight at the Yorkshire Air Museum.
- Beyond History: Explore the thrilling York Dungeon, walk a section of the historic York City Walls, relax in the picturesque Rowntree Park, or admire the treasures housed in the Mansion House, York Castle Museum, York Art Gallery, and Yorkshire Museum and Gardens.

- Members: £20 (deposit: £5 by end of July, balance in cash on the coach)
- Non-members: £25 (deposit: £5 by end of July, balance in cash on the coach)
